Lime Putty

Natural Calk Lime Putty is produced by sawdust-fired calcination of carefully selected stones with diverse mineral characteristics in industrial kilns. After calcination, the product is naturally aged in tanks to ensure balanced and optimal maturation.

Scope and Product Application

After applying Natural Calk Lime Putty, it is important to protect the treated surface from rain for at least 48 hours. Do not apply the product if the air temperature is below 5°C or above 25°C, or in cases of walls overheated by sunlight.

During hot and windy periods, it is advisable to moisten the walls before application. Before use, mechanically mix the product to obtain a homogeneous blend. If the bricks or wall are particularly dry, the surface should be pre-wetted with water.

Features and Benefits

Natural Calk Lime Putty complies with UNI EN 459-1:2002 and is classified as CL 90 – Class 1. Main advantages:

  • Excellent plasticity and coverage: The product is easy to work with and ensures good yield.
  • Suitable for restorations subject to heritage restrictions: Perfect for restoration work on historic buildings.
  • Versatile for traditional construction: It can be used for flooring and lightweight floors, with natural aggregates such as expanded clay, pumice and cork.

Yield may vary depending on the grain size and the type of aggregate used, with an average of 125–250 kg/m³.

Warnings

It is strictly necessary to use only Natural Calk products at every stage of the Tillica Pasta Systemto preserve the system’s properties and ensure full effectiveness.

The company is responsible for the product up to the point of shipment from the Arte e Mestieri Srl warehouse/supplier premises. The application and use of the product are the responsibility of the customer or the applicator. The company reserves the right to modify the composition while maintaining the product’s fundamental properties.
