Biorasante (Bio Skim Coat)
Natural Calk Bio Skim Coat is a product made from lime putty seasoned according to UNI EN 459-1 standards, enriched with selected fine aggregates.
This product is free from cement and chemical additives, making it ideal for providing facades with an optimal base for subsequent lime-based finishes.
To ensure optimal adhesion to the substrate, it is recommended to pre-consolidate the surface using Natural Calk Antibacterial Fixative Primer.
Scope and Product Application
The first coat of Natural Calk Bio Skim Coat must be applied to a surface that is clean from dust or sawdust. It is important to embed the reinforcing mesh and wait 24 hours before applying the second coat, thus preparing the surface for the final finish.
Application should be done using a steel trowel. Once the product begins to set, it can be finished with a sponge or laminated trowel to achieve a surface ready for painting. If finishes such as Marmorino or other applications are intended, it is sufficient to complete the work with a steel float.
It is essential to protect the application from rain for approximately 48 hours and not to apply the product at temperatures below 5°C or above 25°C, avoiding sun-heated walls. In hot or windy conditions, it is recommended to moisten the walls. Before use, stir mechanically at low speed until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
